Can you help us in reaching our Crowdfunder target? We have set ourselves the ambitious target of raising £5,000 in order to keep our much loved activities going and we need your help in making that happen!
From Friday 1st December, our Crowdfunder will be live and we invite you to make a donation towards our target or ‘pledge’ for one of our rewards. Each and every donation will help us along the way to meeting our overall target and to continue being able to provide opportunities for enjoyment and social connections for individuals living with dementia. We are living proof that it is possible to live well with dementia!

Having spent many years deeply involved in the community that we have all come to know and love, Simona has amazed us with her skills once more and has turned her attention to a 5 day per week lunch project. The lunch project provides nutritious and varied meals for the residents at Lingham Court and for our own members following the Monday Healthy Living Club. As well as the delicious meals, we have also been delighted by the company of several pupils from nearby Larkhall primary school once a week who have been joining us for lunch and providing us with some post lunch entertainment! Lunch time at Lingham Court has been transformed into an enjoyable and social experience which we can all look forward to.
We are sorry to say goodbye to Carlo Bellanova, a long time friend and volunteer for the club who has now begun his travels around South America. Carlo has been with us since the very beginning of the club and his positivity and enthusiasm have always been a delight to have around us. We are sad to see him go but wish him all the best on his travels.
Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held at Lingham Court on Wednesday 24th January 2018, at 2.00 pm and we welcome all members as well as friends and family to join us. The Club is a charity accountable to all its members (people with dementia, carers, families, volunteers) and this is when the Trustees report to you and we can all discuss the Club’s development.
Thanks to Lambeth
After years of wondering whether we would ever get any money towards our costs from public funds, we have secured a grant from the NHS Lambeth Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) of £33,000 which is to help us to make the Club more financially self-sufficient, support and expand its activities. It has helps us to pay Christine Landreth who coordinates Wednesdays and Mondays and Tom Smith who is working on fund-raising. Simona Florio has moved on to running the Lunch project described above which is partly supported by a small grant from Lambeth Council via the London Community Foundation.
